An opening, a conference, or an end of year event. You paste the list in from a file, it goes out in one run, and every pass is scanned once at the door.
What the occasion is
Corporate events here run from a branch opening to a conference with several sessions to an end of year party. The lists run into the hundreds and come from an HR file or a client list, and seats or building security usually cap entry.

Large events are won or lost at the door. The list takes half an hour to build, but two hundred guests arrive within twenty minutes, and any delay in checking them shows immediately. The pass scans in a second and works once, so nobody enters under someone else's name.
